Healthy kids have a reservoir of energy and exuberance. Join us weekly as we talk to holistic health care providers, innovative educators, passionate parents and energetic kids themselves about what kids need to stay healthy physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Special topics we cover include holistic approaches to helping kids with learning disabilities, supporting kids with mood disorders, strengthening children with chronic illness, helping parents manage the stress of a child’s illness, and experiencing family grief. We explore innovate programs in our area that focus on working with the whole child. And, we share news on resources available to help raise healthy kids. Join our conversation!

Shefali was born in India allowing her to be exposed to the practices and philosophy of Eastern Mindfulness from an early age. She has incorporated these rich teachings into her therapeutic work, allowing her to have a unique ability to create a true integration of Eastern philosophy with Western psychology.
Shefali completed her doctoral training in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University, New York, and has worked with a milieu of clients ranging from children and adolescents to couples and families. In addition, Shefali leads workshops on Mindful Living and Parenting around the world, lecturing extensively at schools, parent groups, and corporations.

She has pursued advanced training with experienced clinicians in adult and pediatric Chinese Herbal Medicine. She is a general practitioner with a special interest in women’s health and children’s wellness.
